April News from the workshop ……I’ve been up to something….not just one thing!

I’ve been busy behind the scenes prioritising some big pieces of work & unfortunately some things have slipped including writing my newsletters & blogs . I’ve missed doing my monthly round up and sharing what we’ve been getting up to. I really enjoy writing and find it rather cathartic. So I need to find a way to get this back.

The months seem to be rolling by, never mind the weeks. I can’t quite believe we are at the end of April. It’s been a fun month of Easter holidays, birthday celebrations, interior design and deep buttoning workshops, brand shoots, networking and working behind the scenes on my b-corp assessment.

Easter Holidays 2nd European road trip in Wally Paris and beyond.

We are getting more courageous with our travels and now that we’ve experienced travelling abroad in the van we absolutely love the freedom it gives us to explore not just the UK but beyond. Motorhome holidays aren’t for the faint of heart, lots of planning is involved, but you are rewarded with so much more. The money that we have saved on accommodation is used for experiences. The confined space doesn’t bother us…we love being in our little bubble.

We enjoyed six days in Paris and explored it slowly….enjoying a bike tour to see the sights by night, Watercolor painting experience in Luxembourg Park,  Walking up the Eiffel Tower, visiting the Palace of Versailles (unfortunately in torrential thunderstorms), Fontainebleau Château, and finishing the trip with Parc Asterix Theme Park.

Team Building Workshop at the Well-being Farm

I’d been working on a new initiative recently looking at how I could run my workshops from different locations so I could reach more people that can’t get to Cheshire. I’ve invested in new equipment, and fine tuned my workshops so that we can deliver a suite of workshops off site.

I had loads of fun in action earlier this month delivering a team building workshop at the B-corp certified Wellbeing Farm. I shared the afternoon with an amazing team from Skills for Care helping them create beautiful notice boards. Visit  here for more information about our team building workshops

Creative Workshop at the Chapel

We hosted a workshop at the chapel this month to celebrate the launch of our new team building experiences. We invited businesses and charities from across Cheshire to experience it and it was such an amazing day. I wish I could do it all over again.

Gill Fox from The Nantwich Clinic shared her feedback.I highly recommend Emma’s upholstery team building courses. They are a fantastic way for teams to connect and learn about each other, whilst also learning new skills and creating something special to take away. Upholstery is very mindful so the workshop is very relaxing and the chapel space that Emma works from has such a “get away from it all” feel. I doubt anyone would regret having taken part.” I will be sharing more on this as there is too much to squash into one post.

Birthday celebrations

I turned 42 on the 21st April and I celebrated with the boys in Wally the Van at at one of our favourite local campsites in the Peak District Bank House Farm Camping – with the Manifold cycle trail at the end of the road, brilliant walks up to Thor’s Cave and the Roaches, plus a lovely pub literally a stone’s throw away. All within 45 mins of home what’s not to love?

How has April been for you? It was a fun and busy one for us with more planned for May and beyond. If you would like to be the first to hear about our news, events and more signup to our mailing list and freebies here.
