Celebrating one year of running Upholstery workshops at Semper Hopkins Upholstery and Interiors
It has been 12 months now since we first ran our in person upholstery workshops here at Semper Hopkins – and what a year it has been! From starting with our Storage crate then introducing our Stool and Bench workshops later in 2021, and now our footstools and deep buttoned workshops… we have come a long way in so little time!
We are so grateful to all of our customers who have joined our workshops and enjoyed learning just as much as we have enjoyed teaching them! It means a lot for a small business, having started off doing upholstery as a hobby myself, to see the joy which it brings others is a great thing to see.
Running these workshops during a pandemic and post pandemic has been a pleasure, especially as it has been an opportunity for a lot of our clients to reunite with loved ones and friends to learn a new skill whilst catching up on months worth of news!

Exciting News – new workshops
We are excited to introduce a brand new range of furniture designs to our upholstery workshops. We’ve listened to lots of feedback from clients and made some great improvements;
- Each workshop now includes a wide range of fabrics and colours to choose from. As clients were often struggling to buy the right choice of fabric. You can find the details on each workshop.
- You can choose from a number of different styles of furniture in each workshop i.e. stool, bench or footstool. So if you want to come with a friend or family member you don’t have to make the same piece.
- We now have a range of workshops that run between school hours 9.30am-2.45pm. So if you are a parent or grandparent you can now attend without having to worry about arranging additional childcare.

Group Upholstery Workshops
We also offer group upholstery workshops, a creative experience for a group of friends or work team to get away from the pressures of everyday life and spend quality time together. Our workshops are perfect for beginners and the day can be tailored to your needs as a group. We can include food and drinks & break out time so you can make the most of each other’s company.
