You are welcomed to a creative upholstery workshop on Monday 14th October at our beautiful workshop at Kent Green Chapel.
Let me show you into the world of creativity, mindfulness and connection through the craft of upholstery.
This is an exclusive event for WIBN members. A 10% discount has been applied to the workshop price and a delicious afternoon tea is also included for lunch.
Choose to make a stool, storage crate, small or large footstool, or two seater bench. Personally design it to suit your home interior by choosing your own fabric colour. Which will be ready for you on the day of your workshop.
On the day you will discover the different tools and materials needed for upholstery, along with a range of upholstery techniques which are detailed in a handout for you to take away.
Workshops are suitable for complete beginners. The price includes all materials and fabric.

Furniture leg choices – Please select your choice when booking.
- Bench or Stool –choose from either metal hairpin legs or mid-century style wooden legs.
- Footstool (large or small) – for the feet choose from a natural or dark wax.

You will learn how to
- gluing foam to the frame
- stapling your fabric to the furniture frame, and finishing it with double pleat corners.
- Make your own fabric buttons and apply to furniture (shallow buttoned design. You can choose on the day if you want to add buttons to your furniture)
- fix the feet or legs to your furniture.
