Exciting Launch of Five New In-Person Upholstery Workshops for Spring 2023
There’s never a dull day being an entrepreneur. The variety of roles you do in your day to day job is exceptional.
Some people don’t like the huge number of hats that you have to wear. What I have learnt over the years in business is that you don’t have to be an expert in all of them. It’s about surrounding yourself with a network of support and people that can help you. As time has passed I have learnt the areas of the business that I enjoy, I outsource the bits I don’t like and and get help where I need the expertise.
One area I do enjoy is learning from my clients, understanding how I can help them, learning where they need guidance and support and developing these ideas into new workshops and courses. I’ve been in their shoes when I started learning upholstery myself, to being a homeowner and now a business owner sharing my knowledge & experience to guide them on their own journey of upholstery. We have been listening to clients feedback and are excited to share the new that we have developed five new in person upholstery workshops.
So what’s changed?
We’ve added three new ‘introduction style’ workshops to give you an insight into interior design, sewing and upholstery. All three of these workshops are aimed to give you the basic skills to be able to tackle projects of your own at home.
We’ve added some more technical skills into the workshop designs – including square buttoning. So you are now able to learn techniques like deep buttoning,
All the workshops are designed for you to learn new skills, and practice techniques on finished pieces of furniture. There are five different pieces to choose from, and all the fabrics and materials are included. Taking all the pain away for you, so you can turn up and enjoy the experience. Read more about each workshop in detail below.

Introduction to Sewing for Upholstery
I know so many people have a phobia of sewing machines either from school days gone by or a bad experience. You don’t need to when you are guided and trust the process. When you mention sewing there are so many areas it covers. This workshop is focusing on sewing for upholstery. I have focused on projects that are simple but can be used in so many instances to add impact to your interior . The workshop will teach you how to;
- Plain edge zipped scatter cushion – you can add a pop of colour or pattern to your sofa, armchair or bed.
- Plain edge zipped wrapped around box cushion – this design can be used for a window seat, campervan cushion, or replacement sofa cushion
The first workshop will run on Monday 19th June costs £195
