Exciting news- Two New Upcoming Upholstery Workshops and ‘Refer a friend’ scheme
I visited my best friend in Leeds recently for the weekend. We both realised it had been over 18 months since I had stayed with her due to the pandemic. It made us realise we had so much lost time to make up for. We are looking forward to planning lots of different activities to make up for it.
We are excited to introduce two new upholstery workshops and our ‘refer a friend scheme’. Our upholstery workshops are a great way to reconnect with family and friends, making up for lost time as well as having a fun creative experience. One Day Stool Workshop
One of the many positives of choosing our upholstery workshops is that you can create a piece of furniture which can completely match your home’s interiors- or you can choose to make a statement piece with a fabric of your choice!
We’ve introduced a new industrial stool upholstery workshop. The stool is a very versatile piece of furniture and could be the centerpiece of your kitchen, dining room, or used at a dressing table or desk.
During the workshop you will learn about the tools and materials needed for upholstery and will be taught how to make one of our stylish stools. The one day upholstery workshop is suitable for complete beginners or expand upon your existing skills if you have been to one of our previous workshops.
The frame is made from solid steel piping by our local blacksmith at Alcumlow Hall Forge. For each stool you will be provided with the frame, and upholstery materials, you just need to bring 1m of your own fabric with you.
The dimensions of the stool are; Width 46cm x Depth 37cm x Height 49cm.

One Day Deep Buttoned Footstool Workshop
Our upholstery workshops in Scholar Green, Cheshire are the perfect opportunity to delve into your creative side and have some time to yourself. At the end of the day you will have a bespoke piece of furniture to take home!
Everyone needs a footstool to rest their feet on after a busy day! We’ve designed a brand new one day Deep Buttoned Footstool workshop to give an introduction to the process.
The workshop is perfect for beginners or for those with some experience looking to expand their skills.
The dimensions for the footstool are; Width 55cm x Length 70cm x Height 30cm (approx).
We supply you with all the tools & materials needed and will provide you with a metre of Warwick ‘Amantheon wool’ , worth £40. You get to choose your fabric colour so it can tie in perfectly with your interiors or be a bold addition to a room.

Refer A Friend’ Scheme

We are very excited to announce the launch of our new ‘Refer A Friend’ scheme. Taking part in our ‘Refer a Friend scheme’ will benefit both of you, sounds good doesn’t it? You will earn £10 off a workshop for each friend you refer to us.
How does it work?
- Log into/or create your Semper Hopkins upholstery account and share your unique referral link with your friends.
- Your friend needs to use your unique referral code when they book and they will receive £10 off their workshop
- You get £10 credit in your account to use against a future booking when your friend books their first workshop.

I got hooked on learning, creating more and more pieces of furniture. This is where my upholstery journey began. It was also personally a creative distraction and a release from a stressful day job.

You don’t need to have any experience to join our upholstery workshop. Don’t be afraid if you aren’t very practical or have no creative streak. We will teach you everything step by step and be there to help you all the way.
Our client recently attended our workshop because they wanted to step away from the daily grind of being behind a computer screen and had the urge to be creative. They loved the instant satisfaction they got from every step took, they could see the physical progress they made when their creation started coming together. From learning to drill holes, measuring fabric, glueing foam or stapling fabric to name a few. They were addicted and completely consumed by the whole experience and buzzing by the end!
