This beginner-friendly upholstery workshop in Cheshire is designed for complete beginners wanting a practical introduction to upholstery in a relaxed and supportive environment.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by upholstery tools, confused about what materials to buy, or unsure where to begin with a project at home, this workshop will give you the confidence to get started.
No previous experience is needed and all materials, sustainable fabric, detailed upholstery workbook and fabric guide are included.
What you’ll make
Create your own upholstered furniture piece to take home.
Choose from:
• Stool – 50cm wide x 40cm deep x 49cm high
• Small Footstool – 50cm wide x 40cm deep x 29cm high
• Large Footstool – 66cm wide x 48cm deep x 29cm high
• Two Seater Bench – 90cm wide x 40cm deep x 49cm high
Choose from:
• Hairpin or mid-century wooden legs (bench/stool)
• Natural or dark wax foot finishes (footstool legs)
What you’ll learn
- Upholstery tools, materials and fabric guidance
• Measuring and preparing upholstery materials
• Webbing, foam and fabric fitting techniques
• Professional finishing techniques and neat corners
You’ll leave with practical upholstery knowledge and techniques you can continue using on future home projects including dining chair seats, footstools, benches and headboards.
