Christmas Upholstery Workshop Group Experience

Are you bored of the traditional Christmas lunch and drinks? Don’t want to wake up hungover and feeling bleugh! Are you looking for something fun, memorable and creative which you can all enjoy?

Have you organised your office party and worked out how you will be celebrating with work colleagues? Have you got your fun activities planned with friends and family?

Don’t worry if you haven’t, we’ve done the hard work for you. Celebrate with us this Christmas and join us for a group workshop.

We’ve designed an upholstery experience where you will be all taught how to make a stool or footstool (your choice). You get to walk away with your creation at the end of the day. Enjoy a festive themed afternoon tea in our beautiful converted Chapel, It will feel even more festive as the workshop will be filled with Christmas decorations and the log burner will be roaring away with a cosy fire.

£150 per person and minimum group size 6 up to 12. Christmas workshops available through November or December, Monday to Friday 9.30-2.45pm.

What’s included?

🎄Create a stylish Footstool or Stool. We will provide you with all the materials, tools and a choice of fabric.
🎄Workshop runs from 9.30am – 2.45pm.
🎄Hot Drinks included throughout the day.
🎄For lunch, indulge in a Christmas themed afternoon tea supplied by Ginger Fool Afternoon Tea which will include handmade festive themed sandwiches, sausage roll, mince pie, all butter shortbread, and fresh cream choux bun.
🎄It all takes place in our beautiful workshop, a converted chapel in Scholar Green, Cheshire ten mins from J17 of the M6 motorway.
🎄Minimum 6 people per workshop up to 12 people.
🎄The upholstery workshop is only suitable for people over the age of 18.

What does it cost?

All of this costs £150 per person. Minimum group size 6 total cost £900.

An additional £150 per person there after. Maximum group size 12.

If you are a business you can claim your festive party as deductible expenses for tax purposes.

Booking Process – What happens next

Step 1 – Booking
If you would like to make a booking please complete the booking contact form. On receipt of your booking form we will send written confirmation of the cost and that your date is confirmed.

Step 2 – Invoice and Payment
An invoice will be sent directly upon booking confirmation and is payable within 7 business days (invoicing terms as per T&Cs)

Step 3 – Furniture choices for the group
Following payment we will send a detailed online booking form for you to complete. This will be via an online form in which the attendees will need to confirm their furniture choice, fabric and any dietary requirements in preparation for the workshop to take place.

Step 4 – Receive information about the event
Closer to the date we will send you relevant information for joining the workshop, parking, start times etc so you can then turn up on the day and enjoy your experience.

You have the choice to make a footstool or stool with double pleat detailing on this one-day Christmas upholstery workshop.

What you will learn

  • About the different tools and materials needed for upholstery. These are all detailed in your course handout to take home at the end of the day.
  • Techniques like stapling elasticated webbing and hessian to the frame, glueing foam to the frame.
  • To measure and cut your fabric, cutting, stapling to your frame, and finishing with double pleat corners.

Other useful information about your furniture

  • You will be provided with all the materials, tools and fabric to make your stool or footstool  (you will need to choose your fabric when booking).
  • Stool – your stool will be finished with mid century wooden legs. Finished size approx – 50cm wide x 40cm deep x 49cm high.
  • Footstool feet – choose from a natural or dark wax. Please select your choice when booking. Finished size approx – 50cm wide x 40cm deep x 29cm high
