I have been doing so much computer work for my b-corp assessment I’d run out of energy to do any of my other usual business tasks and let it slip, but I’ve found my flow.
Over the years of running a small business I’ve stood back and admired others doing amazing work for charities either fundraising, donating or sharing their expertise.
I did bits here and there either donating raffle prizes or raising money for causes that other people have approached me for.

It’s coming up to three years this December since we taught our first upholstery workshop. Covid slightly delayed the full launch and we started running them again in April 2021.

I’ve always been interested in understanding how things are made. My career before upholstery was in Corporate Retail working for The Co-op Food within Trading and Own Brand Development. I had the opportunity to work with suppliers and manufacturers to sustainably source my own label food products.
There’s never a dull day being an entrepreneur. The variety of roles you do in your day to day job is exceptional. Some people don’t like the huge number of hats that you have to wear. What I have learnt over the years in business is that you don’t have to be an expert in all of them.
