Would you like a unique handcrafted piece of furniture for your home? Then this bench would be an ideal choice, it has been designed and handmade from our workshop in Scholar Green, Cheshire.
The design is inspired by Semper Hopkins Upholstery & Interiors love of industrial design and natural wood. A beautiful handmade bench which is sure to add character to any room. It’s made from monkey puzzle wood. An evergreen tree that is native to central and southern Chile and western Argentina. The wood that this bench has been made from has a strong connection to the family as it was from Emma’s garden, unfortunately, it had to be taken down. We wanted to do something special with the timber, which we had milled, and has been drying for a number of years. We are now able to use it to make beautiful pieces like this console.
The bench has been cut, levelled and sanded to a smooth finish and has been treated with hot wax oil enhancing the natural patina. The bench sides have their natural waney edge which adds to the rustic finish. It stands on bespoke industrial A frame legs which are handmade by Alcumlow Hall Forge.
The bench measures 117.5cm Width by 46cm Height by 35cm Depth.
If you would like a bench like this made to measure, please get in touch at email@example.com with your dimensions.
Please note that every piece of wood is different and may change when placed in a new environment. Cracks may appear and bark may loosen, however, we feel that this adds to the individual character of the wood. This bench has been made for indoor use.
