DESCRIPTION:Choose to make a square buttoned stool\, storage crate\, small or large footstool\, or two seater bench. \nDiscover the different tools and materials needed for upholstery\, along with a range of upholstery techniques which are detailed in a handout for you to take away. \nThe price includes all materials and fabric. Suitable for beginners. \nYou will learn how to: \n\nStaple elasticated webbing and hessian to the wooden frame\, glueing foam to the hessian (not applicable to crate).\nPrepare the foam for square buttoning including marking out the foam\, drilling holes\, and applying dacron.\nMeasure and mark out your fabric for square buttoning.\nSewing the square panels into your fabric.\nMake your own fabric buttons.\nPleat and finish off your piece of furniture.\nFix the feet or legs to your furniture.\n\nFurniture choices – Please select your choice when booking. \n\nBench or Stool  –choose from either metal hairpin legs or mid-century style wooden legs.\nFootstool (large or small) – for the feet choose from a natural or dark wax.\n\nFabric choice: \nSustainable fabric is included. You will take your finished piece home with you. \nA piece of useful furniture that can be used as a notice/pin board for cards\, photos or children’s artwork\, or as a notice board/ vision board in a home office. \nThe price includes all materials and eco-friendly fabric. Suitable for beginners. \nYou will learn \n\nAbout the different tools and materials needed for upholstery. These are all detailed in your course handout to take home at the end of the day. You will be given a full safety demonstration.\nYou will learn how to make your own fabric buttons\, how to attach foam\, dacron\, fabric\, ribbon\, and finish your notice board with neat folded corners\n\nUseful information and what’s included \n\nYou will be provided with all the materials needed to make your fabric notice board – including board\, fabric\, ribbon\, buttons\, padding\, and backing cloth.\nDimensions of the notice board – 61 x 61 cm\nThe course will start at 10am finishing at 1pm.\nHot and cold drinks included throughout the event.\nWear practical clothing and flat closed toe shoes as you will be standing.\n\nPrivate bookings taken for groups of 6 people.
