Suitable for beginners. \nYou will learn how to: \n\nStaple elasticated webbing and hessian to the wooden frame\, glueing foam to the hessian (not applicable to crate).\nPrepare the foam for square buttoning including marking out the foam\, drilling holes\, and applying dacron.\nMeasure and mark out your fabric for square buttoning.\nSewing the square panels into your fabric.\nMake your own fabric buttons.\nPleat and finish off your piece of furniture.\nFix the feet or legs to your furniture.\n\nFurniture choices – Please select your choice when booking. \n\nBench or Stool  –choose from either metal hairpin legs or mid-century style wooden legs.\nFootstool (large or small) – for the feet choose from a natural or dark wax.\n\nFabric choice: \nSustainable fabric is included. I love my home\, after going through a huge house renovation\, I know the challenges that you will go through. It’s fun finding your own personal interior style\, and you’ll find my hobby is my home! I have a young child\, so I understand your home needs to be lived in and can’t look like a show home everyday! \nOn this one-day introductory interior design course\, we’ll help you find your own personal interior style – what do you love and hate about your current interiors. What makes you happy in your home. \nWe’ll share our skills\, passion and knowledge to show you how to create your own digital board for a room of your choice\, giving you the skills\, solutions and inspiration you need to potentially tackle the rest of your house if you want to. \n\nWe go through a simple 13 step design process which you can use again and again. Sharing where you need to start in the planning process rather than just choosing paint!\nI show you around my home sharing real life examples to give you ideas and inspiration.\nTips on how to research\, without trawling round millions of shops\, and getting lost down a rabbit hole on pinterest.\nBudgeting for your project.\nRecommendations on the latest apps you can use to help with visualisation.\nWe show you what free application to use so you can design a digital mood board at home.\n\nThe workshop all takes in Emma’s beautiful home in Scholar Green\, set in the Cheshire countryside. You’ll get plenty of one-to-one attention\, learning together in a relaxed\, sociable environment where no experience is required. \nCome along with a room in mind so that we can discuss your ideas in detail. We don’t complete a project on the day but you are equipped with the tools to be able to continue your research and plan and design at home. Interior design is about taking the time to research\, plan\, and budget so you get the room you’ve been dreaming about. \n\nHot and cold drinks are provided throughout the day. Suitable for beginners. \nYou will learn \n\nAbout the different tools and materials needed for upholstery. These are all detailed in your course handout to take home at the end of the day.
